Windows: Wireless Display Connection
Windows natively supports wireless display functionality. This guide will explain how to connect to a wireless capable display. Before beginning, you will need to ensure that your TV or Monitor is capable of wireless display via Windows. You will have to check with the manufacturer to verify if your TV model has this capability.
Connecting to the Display
1. Turn on the TV, wait for it to fully power on
2. Press the Windows Key + K together
3. The Cast window will open and should present a list of Displays that you can cast your display to. Select your TV from this list.
(it may take a couple tries if you don't see an option right away.)
4. Watch your TV, it may request that you allow the computer to connect
note: If your TV never shows in the cast list, you will need to make sure that your TV and the computer connect to the same network. If TV and Computer are on the same network, then you will need a wireless adapter that plugs into the HDMI port of the TV. For business owned equipment you may work with IT to acquire the wireless adapter.
