Windows 11: C Drive Suddenly Increases in Usage Size
It is known that Windows 11 may experience an issue with Indexing that results in the C drive rapidly consuming available storage. The result is the C drive becoming full, seemingly, instantly.
The guide below will show you how to re-build your index, and reclaim the space used by the indexing corruption.
- Open Start or Search and search for "Indexing Options"

- Click Advanced (Requires Administrator Access)

- Click the "Rebuild" Button

- Click OK to proceed
It can take several hours to complete the indexing process. You can continue to use your computer while the index rebuilds.
