Modified on: Wed, 11 May 2022 11:29 AM

It is known that Windows 11 may experience an issue with Indexing that results in the C drive rapidly consuming available storage. The result is the C drive becoming full, seemingly, instantly.

The guide below will show you how to re-build your index, and reclaim the space used by the indexing corruption.

  1. Open Start or Search and search for "Indexing Options"

  2. Click Advanced (Requires Administrator Access)

  3. Click the "Rebuild" Button

  4. Click OK to proceed

It can take several hours to complete the indexing process. You can continue to use your computer while the index rebuilds.
