Reset Polycom Admin Password

This article runs through the steps of Resetting a Polycom phones admin password.

1.) Power down the phone

2.) Power up the phone and when it shows "Loading Application", or "Starting Application" hit the Cancel button.

3.) Press and hold 1, 3, and 5 on the 10 seconds of the autoboot screen until the "Enter Password: ___ to Reset Settings screen shows up.

4.) Type in the Mac address of the Polycom phone as the password (This is displayed underneath the phone usually starting with 6416.

5.) This will bring up the screen to reset the password.

6.) in the "Old Password" type in the Mac address from step 4.

7.) Type in the password in the "New Password".
