Windows 11: C Drive Suddenly Increases in Usage Size
It is known that Windows 11 may experience an issue with Indexing that results in the C drive rapidly consuming available storage. The result is the C drive becoming full, seemingly, instantly. The guide below will show you how to re-build your index, and reclaim the space used by the indexing corruption. Open Start or Search and search for "Indexing Options" Click Advanced (Requires Administrator Access) Click the "Rebuild" Button Click OK to proceed It can take several hours to complete the indexing process. You can continue to use your computer while the index rebuilds.

RDP: Cannot Establish a Connection (Debco)
Issue: User cannot get past this window: and will end up seeing this error: Solution: Open Duo on your smartphone and approve the Authentication request Note: If the solution does not solve the issue there may be a larger issue.

This solution is meant to be performed by a System Administrator Issue: Receiving the following error The user's account has expired. Solution: Log into the computer as an admin or use the console in Screen Connect. Using PowerShell, run the following command. net user USERNAME /expires:never

RDP: error "the remote computer that was reached is not the one you specified"
Issue: User received this message when trying to remotely connect to a computer. The connection cannot be completed because the remote computer that was reached is not the one you specified. This could be caused by an outdated entry in the DNS cache. Try using the IP address of the computer instead of the name. Solution: Check the clock on both computers and make sure they are both showing the correct time.

Debco - RDP error The Group Policy Client service failed the sign-in
Issue: The user gets this error when trying to RDP to the terminal server The Group Policy Client service failed the sign-in. Access is Denied. This usually results from the user not signing out properly either by user error or the server was shut down or restarted unexpectedly. Solution: on RDSHDC01 and RDSHDC02 delete the users folder For exmaple if AWS04 was reporting this error, delete C:\users\AWS04 folder from both RDSHDC01 and RDSHDC02 Remind the user to sign out properly by clicking the start button, then the user icon, then "sign out"

Remote Desktop: Group Policy Service Failed the Sign-In
Issues: When attempting to logon to a Remote Desktop Session Host that uses profile disks or FXLogix, user sees the below error message instead of completing the sign in process: Cause: The issue is most likely to occur if a Remote Session is terminated improperly or abruptly due to network issues or user action. Resolution: 1. Ensure that the affected user is not currently connected and that they will not attempt to reconnect during your remediation of the issue. 2. Logon to any server that is not one of the Session Hosts 3. In File Explorer enter the UNC path to the User folder on one of the Session Hosts Example: \\rdshdc01\c$\Users 4. Locate the affected users profile folder and delete it. (If you don't see the profile folders, try other session hosts) example: If the affected user is AWS05, delete the folder AWS05 note: confirm deletion if prompted 5. Located the affected users local_ profile folder and delete it. example: If the affected user is AWS05, delete the local_AWS05 folder 6. Repeat Steps 3-5 for all other remote session hosts and where the profile folders are found. 7. Have the affected user attempt to sign on to the remote desktop sessions host
